I’d certainly be voting for Timo Neubauer to become Mayor at this election if I lived in Tasman. His qualifications, skills and experience in architecture and urban design will support a much needed reset to the current urban design planning for our region. His experience as a creative, successful business owner with his family on an agri-tourism business in Hope, will contribute much to support more robust Council investment for the future. He will bring his extensive understanding and action in the climate change spaces along with an understanding of how community-led development works. His energy, passion and perspectives will bring fresh whole systems thinking, his collegial approach will enrich the Council team. I know Timo mostly through his involvement with urban design, affordable and alternative housing design and advocacy; regenerative approaches to the use of our land and resources; understanding the connections to transport and tourism for our region. I am pleased to endorse his candidacy to Tasman District Council.
